Their battle cry is, "It's here. www.ohiotheatre.org Check it out!" That is the message that the Loudonville Theatre Advisory Committee wants everyone to hear. With continuing efforts to raise awareness and gather donations to help restore the historic 1910 Ohio Theatre in Loudonville, a special new web site was created www.ohiotheatre.org.

It is ironic that the 90 year old theatre will be helped with 21st century technology to promote the first benefit event, which will take place August 26, 2000. The web site is very entertaining with many areas of interest including a photo gallery, sponsorship registration, contribution listings, movie schedules, as well as a page for historical and personal essays.

Web site creator and committee member Suzanne Ferencak, describes the web site as "sticky." "The web site has a wide variety of areas of information which are continually being changed and updated. Visitors to the site will see new features and additions on a regular basis. This is what makes the site sticky. It keeps you coming back for more."

The main purpose of the web site is to raise funds for the first benefit event which will take place at the Ohio Theatre, August 26, 2000. The Committee is asking for donations through an elaborate, high profile sponsorship program generated through the web site. Sponsors names and logos will be posted on the web site and mentioned in the event program. A hot link to the sponsor's web site will be added if applicable.

Sponsorships may not be reserved verbally. All individual and corporate contributor names will be posted on the web site. Those individuals or organizations who wish to remain anonymous, please indicate that in the check memo section.

For the first time in Loudonville history, the World Wide Web is working to raise funds for a charitable organization. Time marches on as the two entertainment entities shake hands over the century to help each other out. The Loudonville Theatre Advisory Committee is making sure that happens as reflected in the theme for their first benefit event, "Past, Present & Future…Making Memories Come Alive!"
