(March 21, 2000) By Jim Brewer Stricklen made an upbeat report on actions of the Theatre Advisory Committee and Recreation Department for bringing new energy and ideas into ongoing theatre project. "This committee is getting things done, and has the vision and the energy to make the project a paying concern, involving live performances as well as films," he said. "But to get things going, it will need our help." Council provided help directly by allocating funds to have local contractor NSN Remodeling repair a section of damaged ceiling in the theatre, and Stricklen is bringing estimates of costs to make repairs necessary to install new restrooms in the stage area the next meeting. |
