Thoughts, an Editorial
(April 25, 2000)

While last Tuesday was a gloomy, chilly day, something I did kind of perked me up.

I visited the home of Bernie and Suzanne Ferencak, located on one of our most-beautiful area byways, Drakes valley Road (Holmes County Road 22).

Bernie is a web page designer, with Suzanne handling the marketing end of their new, home based business.

The Ferencaks moved into an attractive Victorian home on Drakes Valley, two miles south off Ohio 39, From Cleveland, the town they both grew up in.

Looking at our area, and our community, from the vantage of newcomers from the urban area, they expressed an appreciation of our area which many of us, while we may feel it, often forget.

To them, living here is a dream.

They reminded me of just how nice an area we have.

The reason I was visiting the Ferencaks was to drop some copies of newspaper articles off for them to use in developing promotional materials for the Loudonville Theatre Advisory Committee, for which Suzanne is serving as publicity chairman.

Incorporating their technological skills into their publicity efforts, they are contributing to Loudonville in a new dimension in fund raising, and promotional strategy.

The Ferencak's love the peace, and beauty of their new community. Their new community is very lucky that they have brought their talents to share with us.

When everyone pools their talents for the common good, everybody benefits.
