In an effort to help raise funds and awareness for the first Ohio Theatre benefit, scheduled for August 26 at 156 N. Water Street in downtown Loudonville, $1.00 Donation Signs are going up all over town. Area businesses have agreed to help the Loudonville Theatre Advisory Committee publicize the event by posting these small signs in their stores in exchange for a $1.00 donation to the Ohio Theatre restoration project. Contributors will write their name in the space provided on the sign, and area merchants will post them in their stores from now until the event on August 26th. Businesses participating in the program at this time include: Miner's Sparkle Market, Beano's Tavern, Creative Outlet, Buzzard Shoe Store, Danner Pharmacy, Hidden Treasures and the Ohio Theatre. Sponsorship of the $1.00 Donation Signs is provided by Truax Printing. The financial goal for the first benefit is $20,000 with proceeds going to the historic Ohio Theatre including an upgrade to the movie sound system. For more information on how your store or organization can participate, please contact Loudonville Theatre Advisory Chairperson, Kerry MacQueen (419) 994 - 0777, or Fundraising and Publicity Coordinator, Suzanne Ferencak (419) 994 - 0610.
